The last 3 days have given me some time to reflect on why I started this journey; namely to be a better father to my daughter, a better husband to my wife, and a better me for myself. I’ve got so much energy, I’m able to play more with my daughter, and do a lot more around the house. Things are starting to turn around for me. I have finished reading Bill Phillip’s book “Eating For Life” and I really like it because it has built in cheating days once a week, which will make you feel less guilty if you slip up. It also has some fantastic recipes, really explains portion size, what a balanced meal is, etc. in a way that seems not only easy, but easy to stick to. I’ll be reading his book “Body For Life” in the next couple of days and I’m sure it will be equally informative, entertaining, and easy to incorporate into my new healthier lifestyle. I hope doing this will help me make it to my goal of 170 lbs (100 lbs to go!).
