Maple syrup is definitely sweet. But more than being saccharine, maple syrup presents many rewards for the body, which make it very desirable to be added in one?s daily diet plan.

Maple syrups are made from sap of maple trees, and it is very well known around the United States in Canada as a perfect topping for pancakes, waffles, and ice creams. It is even used as an ingredient in baking cakes, manufacturing beers and other beverages, and in preparing other sugary desserts that compliments a scrumptious meal.

The benefits of maple syrup include giving your body variety of nutrients and minerals needed during regular times, and most especially during times of stress and extreme activities.

One of the minerals found in maple syrup is Zinc, which is effective in giving the immune system more power to combat infections or diseases that causes unwanted conditions, like turning you to be immunocompromise. Zinc is also responsible to reduce bad microorganisms inside the body, by inhibiting the growth of a wide range of broad-spectrum bacteria and viruses. So, maple syrup is effective in the management of gastroenteritis, and common colds.

In addition, maple syrup also contains potassium, which is a major cat ion inside body cells, and it is responsible in the fluid and electrolyte balance inside the body. It will also boost your muscle strength, and maintains the normal function of your kidneys.

Aside from potassium and zinc, another element found in maple syrup is Riboflavin or commonly called, vitamin B2. It is effective in energy metabolism, as well as metabolism of fats, ketone bodies, protein and carbohydrates.

Other essential nutrients and minerals found in maple syrup are Calcium for stronger bones and good heart function; Iron for normal blood appearance, and effective in treating anemia; and Magnesium for the management of muscle spasms, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, anxiety, osteoporosis, migraine, and elevated blood pressure levels or hypertension.

When maple syrup is mixed with cayenne pepper, water and lemon juice, it forms a concoction that is used as a detoxifying agent of the body. It was also proven by some experts that this mixture is also effective as colon cleanser, or in getting rid of toxins and unwanted substances inside the body.

Furthermore, you will get a good dose of vitamin C from this concoction, which is good in enhancing muscle development, and in promoting proper metabolic reactions inside the body. You will also experience a first-rate result by ingesting this perfect mix of antioxidants.

Indeed, maple syrup is more than its sweet taste. It is something that you can give to your body for that extra boost of energy and maintain the wellness you deserve. You will not only benefit from its lovable taste, but you will also gain more essential minerals and nutrients you need in your everyday living.

So, what are you waiting for? Give your body a dose of maple syrup, and enjoy a powerful relief from stress and illness that will allow you to live a hale and hearty lifestyle.

My name is Brett Davison, and I do stupid stuff. Starting Weight: 211 Here’s what the drink is made of: 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (like 4 lemons) 1 cup organic maple syrup 1 tsp cayenne pepper 11 cups water 1 cup of salt water before bed Well Day 1 is in the books. The drink really doesn’t taste as bad as I thought. I figured the cayenne pepper would make it taste like a burrito, and while it does add a little spice, it’s not overpowering. The maple syrup goes well with the lemons. It’s definitely drinkable. You would think my sister sending me pictures of steaks and shit would rattle me. I really haven’t had the urge to eat today as bad as I thought. I passed a Wendy’s tonight and I looked down on it with disdain. I know it’s the first day, but I’m feeling confident about this. I’ve gone days without eating before. I just have to stick to my mantra, “mind over meal”. So far, so good. Also I gotta find a better way to juice the lemons. That shit sucks.
