Celebrity Weight Loss Diets

The Maple Syrup Diet (The Master Cleanse Diet)

Beyonce Knowles famously went on the Maple Syrup diet to lose weight for a film role, they ate no food drank a beverage that consisted of maple syrup, lemons & cayenne pepper for 10 days & lost an fabulous 20 pounds in seven weeks. This is highly risky & crash dieting in this way which over likely tricks your body in to storing fat in lieu of burning it so the pounds will very definitely pile back on as quickly as they fell off.

Raw Food Diet

This involves fundamentally eating all raw food, even meat which is very dicy indeed. Although some nutrients in food are destroyed by cooking, eating entirely raw food may cause kidney, liver issues, nausea & even eye infections. Demi Moore is reported to be a fan of this diet. But some parts of fruits & vegetables are actually better absorbed by the body if cooked. Though you may lose weight in this way, the health implications of following this diet are not worth it.

Cabbage Soup Diet

The Cabbage Soup Diet fundamentally means substituting all of your meals for Cabbage Soup for a week as well as a dramatic weight loss is promised. Sarah Michelle Gellar is said to go on this diet from time to time. Side effects of this diet are slightly embarrassing, flatulence & the necessity to go to the toilet more often. You will lose weight but it will be chiefly water & the second you cease the diet, the weight will pile back on again & probably a bit additional .

The Macrobiotic

Diet Madonna swears by this diet which means eating mostly wholegrains, raw & cooked vegetables & miso soup which sounds healthy, but it is very limiting with such a lack of iron, calcium & protein it will leave you feeling lethargic, run down & could increase your chance of suffering from anaemia. As you can see these celebrity diets do work, you will lose weight but by restricting your body of all the important vitamins & minerals you need for your body to function properly, your body will start to think it is starving & won’t only store the fat which will lead to gaining weight but the health implications can sometimes be irreversible. It is best to stick to a sensible, healthy diet.

Some celebrities use weight loss methods that are safe & still effective. Jennifer Lopez & Brad Pitt for example used Capsiplex. Capsiplex is a slimming pill that makes use of natural Capsicum extract to boost the speed of the metabolic rate which then burns more calories & more fat. The spicy pepper suppresses appetite & provides the body with energy. By taking one Capsiplex pill a day, you are free to eat as you usually would, no calorie restrictions, no depriving yourself & you could lose between 1-2lbs a week for a way more sensible & gradual weight loss that will stay off.

Day 1 – The Master Cleanse #1, video journal June 8, 2009 This is the first of a series of journal entries while on the master cleanse. My intention is to lose weight and detox my system in preparation for a healthier lifestyle and more disciplined eating habits. For Day One I made a larger daily batch of lemonade. Approx. 72 oz as opposed to 60 oz. and used 12 tbl maple syrup total. Tomorrow I will follow the recipe below exactly. I was just afraid I would want more of the lemonade to get me through the first day without and some folks say that they do 8 servings/day so I thought it would be okay so long as I did not add more maple syrup. Main Ingredients for the Master Cleanse Recipe * Pure Filtered Water * Grade B Organic Maple Syrup, Formaldehyde free * Organic Cayenne Pepper * Organic Lemons * Sea salt – Unrefined, (Not iodized) or Epsom Salt Tea: * Laxative tea (Smooth Move from Traditional Medicinals (milder) or a 100% Senna Leaf tea (stronger because it is full strength) * Natural Herbal Tea (decaffeinated only, like Mint) for anytime like when you out with friends etc and need something to put in your mouth. Below are two different recipes. The first is for a single serving of the master cleanse lemonade. The second will make 6 servings #1 (single serving): * 2 Tablespoons of organic lemon Juice (about 1/2 a Lemon) * 2 Tablespoons of Organic grade B maple syrup (not the commercial maple flavored syrup you use on pancakes) * 1/10 Teaspoon Cayenne pepper powder
